Jimmy Engineer was born in 1954 in Balochistan (Loralai), Pakistan. His Parsi family could not have known then that he would grow up to break all barriers of caste and creed and truly define multi-ethnicity through his art and altruism.
We value and appreciate Jimmy's personal involvement with the cause by organizing a successful cancer awareness walk and the donation of his calligraphies. It is because of the support from well-wishers like him that we have been able to help thousands of poor cancer patients in their struggle between life and death.
Behbud Association of Karachi is delighted to record its gratitude to Jimmy Engineer for his commitment and sincere help in fund-raising for our Association. Pakistan's top artist, selfless social worker, dedicated philanthropist, the one and only Jimmy, has the soul of a Sufi.
To the people he might be a well-known and well-accomplished artist, but to these Special Children he is regarded as the savior, always trying to keep them from the harsh realities of life and providing every opportunity of enjoyment and relaxation to them from time to time.
